Coudersport & Port Allegany
Gold, Pennsylvania
May 27, 1971

The Coudersport & Port Allegany Railroad was a small short line in northwest Pennsylvania, connecting the towns of Port Allegany on the Pennsylvania Railroad with a New York Central branch at Ulysses. Along the way it crossed (and interchanged with) the Buffalo & Susquehanna (later Baltimore & Ohio; even later Wellsville, Addison & Galeton) at Newfield Junction.

This tiny building at Gold, Pennsylvania really was the Coudersport & Port Allegany's Gold depot. The CP&A was torn up the year after this slide was taken. This view is looking northeast from the Pennsylvania Highway 449 grade crossing; Newfield Junction is just a short ways ahead.
