Baltimore & Ohio
Girard, Ohio
December 30, 1971

Seen looking south from Girard, Ohio's Liberty Street Bridge, a Baltimore & Ohio freight is emerging from the tunnel under the Pennsylvania's Erie & Ashtabula branch and heading north on the B&O's former main line via Niles and Warren. Based on the length of the train it is probably destined for interchange with the Nickel Plate or New York Central in Painesville, Ohio via the Lake Subdivision. The Erie's double-track Cleveland & Mahoning mainline is visible at left, along with a bit of Girard itself.
