Bessemer & Lake Erie
Erie, Pennsylvania
March 26, 1971

The Bessemer & Lake Erie is best known for its massive lake boat loading facility at Conneaut, Ohio, but it also had a branch to Erie, Pennsylvania. This track slipping beneath the New York Central mainline at Erie (and seen from one of Penn Central's few remaining trains along the lake shore) was the Bessemer's entrance to Erie, by this time little used.
