The planner of industrial trackage has just one imperative, to fit trackage which will accomplilsh the needed tasks into the space available. The resulting trackwork can be nothing less than a thing of intricate beauty, as here with no less than six diamond crossings and at least four switches, one of them curved. This is part of the Republic Steel plant, seen from the north side of the Clark Avenue bridge in Cleveland, Ohio.
