Pennsylvania [Penn Central]
Elmira, New York
March 7, 1970

The Pennsylvania maintained a modest yard in Elmira, New York to serve its Elmira branch from Williamsport, Pennsylvania to Sodus Point, New York, on Lake Ontario. This engine facility and coaling tower was at the north end of the yard; just north of here the Pennsylvania entered Erie trackage through Elmira, regaining its own rails again at HO Tower north of town.
