Utah
Helper, Utah (Utah Junction)
September 3, 1995

Another look at Utah Junction, just north of Helper, Utah, where trains of the Utah Railway (tracks in foreground) enetered the Denver & Rio Grande Western's double-track main (tracks under the signal bridge) for the long climb to Soldier Summit and on to Provo. Speaking of signal bridges, is it just my imagination or is that signal bridge the prototype for the famous Plasticville signal bridge found on innumerable model railroad layouts?
