Big Four (New York Central) [Penn Central]
Cleveland, Ohio
March 26, 1971

In this view from Cleveland's Superior Avenue looking south, the former Big Four crosses the Cuyahoga River on a massive lift bridge (though not as large as the adjacent Carter Road bridge to its left) and passes under the viaduct carrying the Cleveland Union Terminal and Cleveland Rapid Transit tracks over the Flats. The Lorain Avenue bridge dominates the background, with the Nickel Plate Road viaduct barely visible through its arches. Note the yellow-orange former Baltimore & Ohio passenger station at the extreme left.
