Belt Railway of Chicago
Chicago, Illinois (Forest Hill Crossing)
June 18, 1972

The Belt Railway of Chicago was a frequent visitor to most of the crossings and junctions in the Chicago area. Here at Forest Hill Crossing an eastbound BRC transfer run is on joint Chesapeake & Ohio/BRC rails, crossing the Baltimore & Ohio and Pennsylvania (Penn Central) tracks. The tracks in the foreground belong to the former Wabash (now Norfolk & Western).
