Salt Lake City, Utah
August 20, 1998

Because of the 2002 Winter Olympics much of the area around Salt Lake City's two stations has been drastically transformed, with most rails moved further west. As a result, identifying any trackage from earlier photos with any certainty can be tricky, especially in the late 1990s. This appears to be the left hand curve where the UP's former Oregon Short Line to Provo and Nephi made a turn to the east south of the station before entering street running on 4th West Street. This would be looking south from the 1st South Street grade crossing.
