Salt Lake City, Utah
June 5, 1970

The Union Pacific's Butte Special to Pocatello, Idaho and Butte, Montana via the Oregon Short Line patiently awaits its 7:30 p.m. evening departure at UP's Salt Lake City depot. If all goes well it will be in Butte by 7:30 a.m. the next morning. This train did not survive the coming of Amtrak the following year.
