Republic Steel
Cleveland, Ohio
August 28, 1970

Most steel mills are secretive places, inaccessible to photographers and rarely hospitable to visitors of any kind (for safety reasons more than anything else). Cleveland is remarkable in providing, via its Clark Avenue bridge, a window into some of the most intensive industrial railroading in the country. Here we see Republic Steel's in-plant railroading seen from the north side of the bridge.
