Lehigh Valley [Conrail]
Sayre, Pennsylvania
November 27, 1976

Almost eight months after Conrail took over parts of the Lehigh Valley and abandoned the rest, heavy freights like this southbound one still passed the Lehigh's Sayre, Pennsylvania station. Although most of the Lehigh was abandoned north of here, Conrail retained the Newark, New Jersey to Waverly, New York segment. Conrail or not, it was still just as cold as ever.
