Lehigh Valley
Rochester, New York (Lehigh Valley station)
December 1970

The Lehigh Valley's Rochester, New York station was a bit of an oddity. The Lehigh entered the city hugging the east bank of the Genesee River, and when it reached downtown at Court Street there was literally nowhere to build the station except over the river. The always-energetic Genesee River can be seen below. Amazingly, the station survives today as the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, with "L.V.R.R. 1905" clearly engraved on the front brick face.
